- STANLEY KOCH
The death occurred at the K-W hospital on Sunday morning, May 18, at 11 o'clock, of Mr. Stanley Koch, 36, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Koch of Conestogo. The departed underwent an appendicitis operation on Tuesday, May 6, and from this he failed to rally. He was born at Conestogo on the Koch homestead on Jan. 30, 1905. His wife, the former Ruth Kufske, and a daughter Mary survive as well as his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Koch, six brothers, three sisters, Lester of Kitchener, Phares, Orton, Oliver, Roy and Charles of Conestogo, Mabel, Mrs. Herb Kufske of Williamsburg, Gladys, Mrs. Norman Mar-tin of St. Jacobs, and Vera, Mrs. Nelson Snyder of near Conestogo. The funeral was held on Wednesday afternoon with a brief private service at the home of his parents at 2 o'clock, after which public services were held at the Mennonite church at St. Jacobs with burial in the Mennonite cemetery near Three Bridges. Rev. Oliver Snider was in charm of the service, while Bishop C. F. Derstine of Kitchener delivered the sermon. The remains rested at Dreisinger's Funeral chapel, Elmira, until Monday evening and then rested at the Letter and Dreisinger Funeral Home until Tuesday afternoon when they were brought to his parents' home.
