  • Notes
    • The many friends of Mr. P. E. Welker will sympathize with him and his family in the great loss they have sustained by the death of Mrs. Welker which took place Monday morning at her late home on King street. Fanny Feick was born in the township of Normanby in 1875, being only in the prime of life when called home at the early age of 34 years, 7 months, and 23 days. She was a finely educated and cultured woman, possessing to a remarkable degree the faculty of making friends and was a general favorite with all who, she was acquainted, and will be greatly missed by a large circle of friends, especially in the church, having been a member of the Evangelical church and teacher in the Sunday School, and was always willing to assist in any good work both in and out of the church. Some time ago she had La Grippe, the cold settling in her lungs, and although everything possible was done to check the dreaded disease, all seemed without avail until at last she passed, peacefully away leaving a sorrowing husband and young son to mourn, also her father and mother, one brother, Mr. A. W Feick, of Berlin, and four sisters, Mrs. J. Gerbracht, Galt, Mrs. Dietrich, Ayton, Mrs. B. Bender, Gowanstown, and Mrs. G. Bender, Wallace, all whom have the heartfelt sympathy of the whole community. The funeral will take place Thursday afternoon, 31st inst.
