    • FORSTER, Mary Magdalena (nee Schmitt) Passed away peacefully in Perth, Ontario, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer, on February 11, 2010, in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Howard Forster (1999). Loving mother of Brian (Elizabeth) of Barrie, Ontario, Rick (Frances) of Napanee, Ontario and Jill (Roy Lewis) of Smiths Falls. Cherished grandmother of Lorraine and Nathan Forster; Mary, Linda and John Forster and Jason, Chris and Lindsay Lewis. Adored great-grandmother of Teagan, Iziah, Cassidy, Maizie and Taiven. Survived by her sister Winnie Witzel and sister-in-law Elsie Gingerich, both of Kitchener, Ontario. Predeceased by her parents Ephraim and Ella Schmitt, brothers Weston, Elvin (Nora), Elroy (Pearl) and Wilfred (Clara) and sister Leona (Camley Harbridge) and brothers-in-law Morgan Witzel and Oliver Gingerich. Mary was a graduate of the K/W Hospital School of Nursing (Class of 1947). She was proud to be a nurse and enjoyed her profession. Her last position was as a nursing supervisor at the Rideau Regional Centre in Smiths Falls. She was devoted to family living and was an active, loving, and enthusiastic person overall. In keeping with Mary's wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no visitation. A memorial service to celebrate Mary's life will be held on February 20th at 1: 00 p.m. at the Bridgeport United Church in Kitchener. Friends desiring may make a memorial contribution to the Canadian Cancer Society. The family of Mary Forster would like to thank Dr. Robin Kennie and the 2nd Floor nursing staff at the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital, Perth Unit.
