- Mrs. J. Harry Jarvis, 63, of Elmira, died at the K-W Hospital, Saturday, September 4, following a brief illness. The former Grace Schwindt, she was born in Woolwich Township, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Schwindt. She was a member of Zion Evangelical United Brethren Church, Elmira, and the Women's Society for World Service of the church. She was also a member of the Waterloo chapter of the Eastern Star. Surviving are her husband and two daughters, Mrs. Douglas (Elaine) Schaefer of Elmira and Mrs. Clare (Shirley) Rather of Flint, Mich.; three brothers, Edmund of North Woolwich Township, Andrew of Salem and George of Elmira; three sisters, Mrs. Phillip (Florence) Sippel and Mrs. Herbert (Luella) Fell, both of Dearborn, Mich„ and Mrs. Norman (Emma) Koch of Kitchener and four grandchildren. One brother and one sister predeceased her. The body was at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor until Monday noon when removal will be made to the church for a service at 2: 30 p.m. with Rev. M. E. Reuber officiating. Members of the Eastern Star chapter held a service at the funeral parlor Sunday at 8: 15 p.m. Burial was In Elmira cemetery.
