  BECKER, Caroline Irene (nee Dietrich) Passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at the Saugeen Valley Nursing Home, Mt. Forest at the age of 85 years. Caroline was formerly of R.R. #2 Petersburg and was the daughter of the late Edward and Dora Dietrich. Caroline was the beloved wife of the late Irvin John Becker whom she married in 1944. Loving mother of Dorothy and Ken Schell, Earl and Kathy Becker, Alice Podann, Henry and Violet Becker, Wes Becker and Caprice, Jean and Ray Masters, Fred and Fran Becker, Marie and Brian Zehr, Grace and John Drumm, George Becker, Laura and Jim Clarke, and David Becker. She will be missed by 40 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren and 22 great- great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters and three brothers and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, Ervin and Edward, by son-in-law Dave Podann and grandson Robert Podann and two brothers. Caroline and Irvin had resided on their family farm on Huron Road for 52 years, spending their lives with family, friends and neighbours. Caroline worked very hard her whole life, working at many jobs to help make ends meet, with her pride and joy being the many years she worked at Holiday Inn on Fairway Rd., Kitchener. Her biggest achievement was keeping her children healthy and enjoying the many grandchildren, great and great-great-grandchildren that she got to be with. Visitation at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home , 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. On Monday, October 17, 2011, transfer will be made at 12 noon to Rosebank Brethren in Christ Church for funeral service at 2: 00 p.m., Rev. Tim Harden officiating. Interment in Rosebank Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
