  SARARAS, Alvin Wilfred With heavy hearts the family announces the sudden and unexpected passing on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at his home in New Hamburg in his 80th year. Alvin was formerly of New Dundee and was the son of the late Samuel and Lillian (Parker) Sararas. Beloved husband of Audrey (Swartzentruber) Sararas with whom he celebrated 56 years of marriage. Loving father of Steve and Debbie Sararas of Waterloo and Michele Sararas of Guelph. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Sam, Amanda and Natange. Remembered by his twin brother Andrew and Helen Sararas of St. Agatha, sister Sylvia Sararas of New Hamburg and sister-in-law Cora Sinstead of Aberfoyle. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Alvin was predeceased by a daughter Sheri Ann and brother-in-law Ronel Sinstead. Alvin was an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Petersburg, the New Dundee Board of Trade and Maple Heights Seniors Residence. Alvin was Post Master in New Dundee for over thirty years. Family and friends will be received at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home , 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Wednesday March 8, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. again Thursday from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Friday March 10, 2017 at 11: 00 a.m. at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Petersburg with Rev. Richard Orlowski officiating. Cremation to follow. Interment at a later date in Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Petersburg. Waterloo Region Record 6 Mar 2017
