  Family Party Honors Couple On Anniversary By Record Correspondent MOOREFIELD A family get-together was held Sunday on the farm of Harry Allendorf, concession 8, Maryborough, a mile west, of Moorefield, for the golden wed- ding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Borth of Moorefield. Mr. Borth was born 75 years ago on concession 12 of McKillop, north of Dublin. At three, his family moved to Logan township, and Mr. Borth grew up near Brodhagen. While learning the carpenry trade he received 50c a day. MET IN FLORADALE He met his wife in Floradale. They were married in his father- in-law's home. For a honeymoon, The couple went to Stratford to visit relatives, and thence to Mitchell, where Mr. Borth's people were then living. They were married by Rev, Emil Reuchter of Floradale who now lives in the United States. Mr. Borth farmed for 29 years a mile south of Moorefield and Carried on his trade. HAVE 23 DESCENDANTS They have seven children, Mrs. Harry Allendorf of the eighth of Maryborough, Mrs. Walter Fach of Elmira, Julius and Hilbert of Moorefield and Harry, Mrs. Betty Heidrich and Carl, all of Kitchener. They also have 14 grandchilden and two great-grandchildren.
