  April 16. Mrs. Margaret Madden, 104, was Kitchener's oldest resident and Canada's oldest horse-racing enthusiast. Forty-Eighth Annual Volume of the Waterloo Historical Society Mar 1961 ______________ Good Medicine \endash KITCHENER, Ont. (UPI) A 104-year-old woman, who drinks rum to help keep her alive, laid the cornerstone for an old people's home. Mrs. Margaret Madden, one of the oldest residents of Ontario, dedicated the 16 apartment building scheduled for completion in April. She said doctors told her that rum is good medicine for her.
