- WAGLER, Chris L. Died peacefully at his home in Wilmot Centre on Monday, December 13, 2010 surrounded by the love of his children after a courageous battle with cancer. Chris was born 88 years ago in Wellesley Township and was the son of the late Joel and Catherine (Lichti) Wagler. Beloved husband of Verna (Boshart) Wagler who predeceased him January 8, 2009. Loving and devoted father of Keith Wagler, Kathy and Todd Loree all of Wilmot Centre and Karolyn and Geordy Fournier of Kitchener. Adored and cherished grandfather of Matt and Colleen Loree, Brad Loree, Brett Fournier and Bryn Fournier. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Elmer and Hilda Wagler, Alice Wagler all of New Hamburg, Willeta Boshart of Kitchener and Eileen Boshart of Wellesley. Chris was predeceased by brother Emanuel Wagler, sister-in-law Dorothy Boshart, brothers-in-law Elroy Boshart, Melvin Boshart and Orlin Boshart. Chris was a member of Steinmann Mennonite Church, Baden and was a tireless volunteer, most recently at New Hamburg Thrift Store and Nithview Home. He was well known in Wilmot Township as Chris the oil man and furnace repairman. Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 from 7-9 p.m., again Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 17, 2010 at 11: 00 a.m. at Steinmann Mennonite Church, Baden with Pastor Myrna Miller Dyck and Pastor Steve Drudge officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to House of Friendship or the Mennonite Central Committee.
