HEIDELBERG Julius J. Doerbecker, 59, of Heidelberg, Wellesley township deputy reeve died today at St. Mary's Hospital following a brief illness
Born in Erbsville, he was a son of the late Mr and Mrs dren Theodore Doerbecker.
He had lived in the St. Clements, Heidelberg and Erbsville area all his life He was a member of St Paul's Lutheran Church in Erbsville, a member of the Wellesley township planning board and chairman of the boy scouts, Erbsville division
He had farmed and operated a contracting business for many years.
Surviving are his wife, the former Annetta Ludwig, whom he married in Waterloo in 1933: three sons, Ross of St. Clements. Glen of Heidelberg and Carl of Kitchener three foster daughters. Mrs. Harold (Reta) Hahn, Viola and Irene Bast, all of Heidelberg: one brother Sheldon of Stoney Creek: three sisters, Mrs. Vera Peppler of Waterloo, Mrs Clayton (Florence) Esch of Conestogo and Mrs Clayton (Doris Heimpel of Heidelberg and five grandchildren.
He was predeceased by one sister, Mrs. Alice Mank.
The body will be at the Ratz Bechtel Funeral Home until 11 a m. Monday when removal will be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Erbsville, for the funeral service at 3 p.m. Rev. Arthur Horst will officiate. Burial will be in the Erbsville cemetery.
