  PRESTON REALTOR CALLED BY DEATH Adam E. Ratz Well known Over Wide Area; Former Tavistock Miller PRESTON-Adam E. Rata, well-known realtor and insurance broker here, who was prominently known throughout the county, passed away early this morning at Kitchener Waterloo Hospital, Mr. Ratz, in his 73rd year, suffered from kidney trouble. Prior to coming to this community, Mr. Ratz resided in Tavistock where he was president and manager of the Tavistock Milling Co.. for 38 years. He was also chairman of the public school board in that town for 12 years, Mr. Ratz was a member of St. Paul's United Church, Preston. Surviving are his wife, three sons, Albert and Gordon in Tavistock, William of Woodstock, and three daughters, Mrs. John Koch and Miss Irene Ratz, London, Ont., and Mrs. W. Weltzel, Stratford. One son predeceased him in 1918. Five grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive with four brothers, Jacob E. Ratz, Detroit, George E., and Edward E., both of Kitchener, Mayor Henry E. Ratz, Waterloo, and four sisters, Mrs. Mary Kaufman, Kitchener, Mrs. Henry B. Schmidt, Toronto, Mrs. Conrad Sutter, Stratford, Mrs. John Hill, Beamsville. Two brothers, William and John Ratz. and one sister, Mrs. Henry Wettlaufer, predeceased him. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon from Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, Kitchener, at 2 o'clock and thence to Zion Evangelical church in Tavistock where services will be held at 3.15. Remains will be interred in the adjoining cemetery, Rev. F. C. Gifford, Preston, will have charge of the services assisted by Rev. H. A. Kellerman, Waterloo, and Rev. W. E. Beese, Tavistock.
