• Notes

  Another old resident passed away. On Saturday morning, May 31st, death claimed an old resident of this place in the person of Mrs. Jane Seaton aged 78 years. Deceased was born near Aberdeen, Scotland, and emigrated to Canada with her parents the next year. Since then she has lived in the vicinity of Winterbourne and West Montrose. For four years she has been a sufferer from neuralgia of the nerves. The funeral was held from the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. E. Richert, to the Presbyterian church and cemetery in Winterbourne for service and interment. Four daughters, Mrs. P. Ribble, Mrs. Hy Seaton, Morley, Mich.; Mrs. A. Richert and Mrs. A. Letson sr., survive her, also two sisters, viz: Mrs. B. Maurer, Buffalo, N. Y., Mrs. P. Weber, Detroit; and two brothers, John Gerrie, Hamilton, and Mr. Geo. Gerrie, Winnipeg.
