  Swartzentruber, Lester James \endash Passed away, suddenly, at his residence in Petersburg, on Sunday, June 18, 1995. He was born in Wilmot township 76 years ago, a son of the late Joseph and Barbara (Yantzi) Swartzentruber. He was a member of St. Agatha Mennonite Church and had owned and operated L.J. Swartzentruber Trucking prior to retirement. Lester enjoyed talking with people, hockey and reading as his hobbies. Beloved husband of Erma (Roth) whom he married April 28, 1945. Loving father of Linda and her husband Brian Greer of Mannheim, Sandra and her husband Douglas Streit of Kitchener. Special grandfather to Christine, Steven, Amy, Jeff and Tim. Dear brother of Lloyd and his wife Ida, Ray and his wife Jean, all of Waterloo, Omar and his wife Ada of New Hamburg. Also remembered by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Melvin Erb, Elmina Schwartzentruber, both of New Hamburg, Selena Wagler of Baden, Elmer and Annie Roth of RR 2, Baden. He was predeceased by one son in infancy; one brother, Glen as a child and one sister Edith Erb in 1990. Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg, today (Monday) from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Transfer will be made Wednesday, June 21, 1995, at noon, to St. Agatha Mennonite Church for the service at 2 p.m., with Pastor Emanuel George and Pastor Steve Gerber officiating. Burial to follow in the adjoining cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee or the K-W Hospital Coronary Care Unit.
