    • Doris Rittinger 1915-2019

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Doris, in her 104th year, on January 26, 2019 at Park Lane Terrace, Paris, Ontario.
Beloved wife of the late Reuben A. Rittinger (1983). Loving mother of Marilyn Hoffman (Ken) of Baden and Wendy Cooper (Gary) of Port Dover. Proud grandmother of David, Sheryl, Constance (Shawn) and Tara (Terry). Great grandmother to Dawson, Bailey, Lindsey, Cole, Trent, Max and Eden.
Predeceased by her parents John T. Entwistle and Jack and Gertrude (Entwistle) Mayor and her sister Betty deWitt (Avery).

Born in Woodstock, Ontario Doris spent her early childhood at Egypt Farm near Brenchley, Kent, England during World War 1. Doris went to school in Fort Erie. She married Reuben and they lived and worked in Kitchener-Waterloo and later Milverton. They enjoyed retirement at Point Clark on Lake Huron and Panama City Beach, Florida. In widowhood, Doris lived in Foxboro, Baden, Ontario where she made many new friends. She will be remembered for her excellent social skills and her style. As she grew older and she was faced with the loss of mobility and independence, she showed great courage and grace in adapting to many changes.

The Hoffmans and Coopers thank the staff at Riverbend (Cambridge), Telfer Place (Paris) and Park Lane Terrace (Paris) for their compassion and care during her journey of aging and the end of life on earth.

Cremation has taken place and a service of Thanksgiving for her life will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 23 Church Street, New Hamburg on Saturday, February 2nd at 11:00 a.m.

Arrangements are entrusted to Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, New Hamburg. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to St. Paul's Anglican Church in Port Dover or Trinity Lutheran Church in New Hamburg.
