  DEATH OF HENRY WIEGAND. The death of one of Berlin's oldest residents took place this morning in the person of Henry A. Wiegand, who has been in ill health for some time. The deceased was born in Rurhessen, Germany, in 1829, and was 75 years of age. He emigrated to Canada in 1853, and after residing in Wallace township for a short time he came to Berlin 52 years ago. He was married to Maria Hass in 1865, who predeceased him in 1895. Eight children were born to them, four of whom have also passed away. Among those who survive is Mrs. S. A. Brubacher, with whom the deceased has resided during the past eight years. The funeral will take place on Friday, May 12th, at 2 o'clock, from the residence of S. A. Brubacher to the Evangelical church, thence to Mount Hope Cemetery. The Daily Telegraph 10 May 1905
