  Mrs. Catherine McRae Passes Mrs. Catherine May McRae passed away in Victoria Nursing Home, Ayr, on Sunday, December 14th. She was in her 83rd year. Born in Burford Township, she was a daughter of the late Adam Kennedy and Elizabeth Weir. After marriage to Alexander McRae, who predeceased her, the couple resided on the McRae farm at RR 3, Ayr. In 1954 they moved to Northumberland Street, Ayr. Mrs. McRae taught school prior to her marriage and again from 1954 for the next twelve years at Keglane School. She was a member of Knox United Church, Ayr. Dear mother of Mrs. Charles (Jessie) Mackie and Ian McRae, both of Ayr, Murray McRae of Denfield; dear sister of Miss Helen and Miss Jessie Kennedy, Mrs. Edwin (Florence) Schell and Alex Kennedy, all of Woodstock, John T. Kennedy of RR 2, Paris; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral service was conducted today (Wed.) from the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, Paris, with Rev. D. E. Willis officiating.
