  Funeral of Mrs. C. Sheldon Stockton Private funeral service for the late Mrs. Charles Sheldon Stockton was held Saturday at Cumming Funeral Home, Paris, followed by a public service at Knox United Church, Ayr. Rev. W. J. V. Buchanan officiated at both services, assisted at the church by Rev. A. M. Manson, Drumbo. Ian McRae sang "Abide With Me." Pallbearers were: Robert McRuer, Andrew C. Hall, Robert Kennedy, John T. Kennedy, Douglas Perry and Kingsburgh Kyle. Interment was made in Ayr Cemetery. Mrs. Stockton, whose maiden name was Isabella McRae, was in her 88th year and a lifelong resident of the district. She was a valued member of Knox United Church and a charter of the Kate M. Thomson Auxiliary. Surviving are two sons, George of South Dumfries and Andrew of Ayr; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Jeanette) Holder of Blenheim Township and Mrs. Fred (Jean) Fox of London, and a brother, Alex McRae of Ayr.
