  Funeral of Miss Jean Armstrong The funeral of the late Miss Jean Armstrong, who passed away on Tuesday, took place from the W.O. Ball Funeral Parlor this (Wednesday) afternoon to the Ayr Cemetery. The service was in charge of Rev. J. W. Currie. The late Miss Armstrong was a daughter of the late John Armstrong and Ann McRae. She was born near Ayr in the vicinity of Greenfield. Earlier in her life she was associated for many years with an insurance company in Winnipeg, but had lived retired prior to her demise in Chesley. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Dan McDonald (Annie) and Mrs. I. Monkman (Janet), both of Chesley. The Ayr News Aug 30 1951 pg 2
