  Joseph Schwartzentruber Joseph Schwartzentruber, of RR 3, Zurich, died Saturday at Stratford General Hospital at the age of 85 years. His wife, the former Lavina Roth, predeceased him and he is survived by four sons, Harold of Exeter, Delton of Tavistock, Orlin of RR 3, Zurich, and Hubert of St. Louis, Mo.; one daughter, Mrs. Stanton (Lila) Bowman, RR 2, Petersburg; 26 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two step-brothers, Daniel Gascho of Zurich and Moses Gascho of Vancouver, one sister, Mrs. Christian Gascho of Zurich and four step-sisters, Mrs. John Jantzi of Baden, Mrs. Samuel Gingerich and Mrs. Emma Kipfer of Zurich and Mrs. David Oesch of Stanley Township. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Zurich and interment followed in the Mennonite Cemetery. New Hamburg Independent, May 10, 1962 _________________ Schwartzentruber, Joseph, son of the late Christian and Anna (Beachler) Schwartzentruber, was born in Oxford Co., Ont., Feb. 20, 1877; died at the Stratford (Ont.) Hospital, May 5, 1962; aged 85 y. 2 m. 15 d. His wife, Lavina Roth, and one son preceded him in death. Surviving are 4 sons (Harold, Exeter, Ont.; Delton, Tavistock; Orlen, Zurich; and Hubert, St. Louis, Mo.), one daughter (Lyla-Mrs. Staunton Bowman), one sister (Mrs. Christian Gascho), 4 half sisters (Mrs. John Jantzi, Mrs. Samuel Gingerich, Mrs. Emma Kipfer, and Mrs. David Oesch), 2 half brothers (Daniel and Moses), 26 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. He was an active member of the Zurich Church, where funeral services were held May 8, in charge of Orval Jantzi, assisted by Albert Martin
