Notes |
- KEHL, Florence Anne (nee Schultz) Age 76, of Stratford, suddenly went home to be with her heavenly Father on January 3, 2018 at Stratford General Hospital. Born in Wellesley Township, daughter of the late Samuel and Beatrice (Schultz) Schultz. Best friend and true love of 56 years to her husband Norman Kehl. Loving mother of Cheryl (Jeff) Duncan, Cynthia (Eric) Grosse, Stephen (Kim) Kehl, Milly Tamasuza and Jackie (Errol) Blackwood. Proud grandmother of Samuel (Leigh), William, Zoe, Jack, Myles, Ryan, Renee, Joshua, Daniel, Chyro and great-grandmother of Olivia, Eli, Malik, Faith, Daniel. Florence will be fondly remembered by her siblings; Dennis (Pat) Schultz and Duane (Sharon) Schultz along with her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; Beatrice Schultz, Eleanor (Al) Snyder McKee, Harvey (Arlene) Kehl, Lester (Wanda) Kehl, Donna Hartzler, Audrey (John) Dobie and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, Florence was predeceased by her father and mother-in-law Mary and Herbert Kehl, a brother Ronald Schultz and sister-in-law Phyllis Kehl. Florence's grace, compassion and determined spirit was well known within her community. She lived a life of service and volunteerism and was best known for founding the Stratford House of Blessing, Sara's Place and Healing Rooms of Stratford. Her community recognized her for these efforts by bestowing on her many honours, including the Stratford Citizen of the Year Award and the Leading Women of Canada Award. Florence was a woman of strong faith, whose huge heart left a lasting impression with all those she came in contact with, especially children. We are shocked at her sudden passing and we all know that we will see her again. Family and friends are invited to the visitation at Jubilee Stratford Church, 707 Downie Street, Stratford on Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., and on Sunday, January 7, 2018 from 3-7 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Jubilee Stratford Church on Monday, January 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow. Interment in Avondale Cemetery following reception. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Healing Rooms of Stratford, Stratford House of Blessing, City Gate Church or the LHSC through the W.G.
