  VIOLET LAURETTA MANSKE 1916 - 2008 Passed away, at Forest Heights Long Term Care Centre in Kitchener on Friday, October 10, 2008 at the age of 92 years. Loving wife of Irvine Manske for 68 years. Devoted mother of Carol Lehman (Bill) of Manitoba, Terry Manske (Jewel), James Manske (Jane) and Stephen Manske (Pat). Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren David, Tim and Mark, Teresa, Micheline and Michael, Carrie and Shawn, and Sarah and Lauren. Great-grandmother of Chelsey, Rachelle, Cameron, Noah, Aaron, Taryn, Chloe and Julian. Also survived by her sister, Barb Cook (Walter) and brother, Clifford Witmer (Doris). Predeceased by her parents, Edmund Witmer and Lavina (nee Hallman); her son, Charles; brothers, Lloyd in infancy, Raymond, Wilfrid and Leonard, as well as her sisters, Beulah Schneider, Flossie Geiger and Ethel Weber. Violet was a long time and active member of Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining family and friends, quilting and cooking at church camps and schools. Funeral arrangements will be published in Tuesday's edition of The Record.
