- ROTH, Merva Catherine Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at K-W Health Centre of the Grand River Hospital, Kitchener. Merva resided in New Hamburg. She was born 80 years ago in East Zorra Township, a daughter of the late Aaron and Selma (Yantzi) Ruby. Merva attended Living Water Community Christian Fellowship, New Hamburg and enjoyed quilting and sewing. Beloved wife of Milford Roth whom she married November 1, 1950. Loving mother of Linda and Glen Diehl of RR#1, Brunner, Jim and Kelly Roth of Baden, and Dennis and Diana Roth of Guelph. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Ryan (Sheri), Brad, Mike, Nick, Nathan, Brittany, Alexandra, Kyle and Jason and by great-grandchildren Halle and Caden. Dear sister of Ken and Margaret Ruby of Tavistock, Bertha Ruby of Arizona, Verna Mae and Gerald Boshart of NY., Miriam and Stewart Schneider of New Hamburg, Carol and Richard Dorsch of Waterloo, Elaine and Dale Leis of Tavistock. Also remembered by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Gayle Yoder of Arizona, Buelah and Phil Shephard of London, Hilda McEwin, Pearl and Mahlon Roes, all of Waterloo, Willard and Ada Roth of Coldwater, Ruby Roth of Wellesley and Lorna Roth of Kitchener. Merva was predeceased by her daughter Ruth Ann (1956), mother Laura (Schwartzentruber) Ruby, sister Jean Yoder, brothers-inlaw and sisters-in-law Nelson and Elmeta Roth, Elton Roth, Catherine Roth, Harold Roth, John Wagler, Walter Burkhardt and Ray McEwin. Friends and relatives may call at Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. On Saturday, July 31, 2010 transfer will be made to East Zorra Mennonite Church for the funeral service at 2 p.m. with Pastor Craig Frere officiating. Burial to follow in the adjoining cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association or the charity of one's choice.
