    • The funeral for Mrs. Florence Matthews, 73, of Glen Allan, who died Saturday, March 31, was conducted at Glen Allan United Church Tuesday. Interment was in the Elmira Cemetery. Rev. Arthur Magee officiated. The former Florence Rennie, Mrs. Matthews was born March 26. 1889, in Crosshill, a daughter of the late Mr, and Mrs. William Rennie. She was a member of Glen Allan United Church and the United Church Women. Her husband predeceased her in 1956. Surviving are a son, Nelson of Glen Allan; three daughters, Mrs. E. (Rella) Cherry of Glen Allan, Mrs L. (Mary) Kelley of Drayton and Mrs, H. (Muriel) Welsh of Moorefield and a brother, Hugh Rennie of Preston. Seven grand-children also survive. Two brothers and a sister also predeceased her.
