    • Mrs. Marguerite Schmitt

      FREEPORT-A native of Bayfield, Mrs. Marguerite Schmitt, Freeport, died yesterday at the Spruce Hill Nursing Home, Hespeler, aged 79 years. She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church and of Brilliant Rebekah Lodge, Kitchener. Her husband, the late, Valentine K. Schmitt, died in 1837.

      Surviving are one son, Perce Schmitt, Dearborn, Mich.; three daughters, Mrs. Simon (Alberta) Weber, Kitchener, Mrs. Lorne (Violet) Scharman, Freeport, and Mrs. Harold (Verna) Miller, Simcoe; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

      The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where the funeral will be held Saturday at 3:30 with Rev. Dr. John Schmieder officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
