Cressman, Jacob H., son of Enos and Lovina (Hallman) Cressman, was born in Wilmot Twp., Ont.; died at South Waterloo Hospital, Cambridge, Ont., Oct. 28, 1978. He was married to Salena Shantz, who survives. Also surviving are 3 sons (Marvin, Walter, and Glen), 5 daughters (Olive - Mrs. Clayton Wilhelm, Erlene - Mrs. Melvin Burkhardt, Marcella - Mrs. Leland Siebert, Verneda - Mrs. Gerald Smith, and Kathleen - Mrs. Ronald Fast), 21 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, one brother (Abner), and 2 sisters (Mary - Mrs. Eldon Hunsberger and Katie - Mrs. Orphen Weber). Funeral services were held at Erb Street Mennonite Church on Nov. 1, in charge of Wilmer Martin.

CRESSMAN, Jacob H. -- At South Waterloo Hospital, on Saturday, October 28, 1978, after a brief illness, Jacob Cressman, aged 86 years, born in Wilmot Township. For many years he was a stationary engineer at the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital. Husband of Salena Shantz; father of Marvin of Waterloo, Walter of New Dundee, Glen of Salt Lake City, Utah, Olive (Mrs. Clayton Wilhelm) of Mossley, Ont., Erlene (Mrs. Melvin Burkhardt) of Waterloo, Marcella (Mrs. Leland Siebert) of Petersburg, Verneda (Mrs. Gerald Smith) of Durham, Kathleen (Mrs. Ronald Fast) of Burlington; brother of Abner Cressman of New Dundee, Mary (Mrs. Eldon Hunsberger) of Baden, Katie (Mrs. Orphen Weber) of Cambridge; 21 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren also survive; predeceased by his parents, Enso Cressman and Lovina Hallman; two brothers and two sisters. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, until noon on Wednesday, when removal will be made to Erb Street Mennonite Church, for funeral and committal service at 2 p.m., with Rev. Wilmer Martin officiating. Interment Nith Valley Mennonite cemetery. New Hamburg.
