- KRIST, Ronald James Passed away peacefully at St. Mary's General Hospital on Wednesday, March 30, 2011, age 91 years. Ronald served as a Bishop and was an instrumental member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, (Lorraine Avenue and River Road), Kitchener. Ronald and Irene had just celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary. Ronald was also a member of Branch #469 Elmira and had served five years overseas as a medic in Italy, France, Germany, Holland and Belgian during the war. Beloved husband of Irene (nee Smith). Beloved father of Pam Shuh (Paul) of Kitchener, Blaine (Kate) Krist of Oliver, B.C. and Kate Hymas (Michael J.) of Salt Lake City, Utah. Loving grandfather of 13 grand- children, 30 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Krist's family will receive friends and relatives at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home and Chapel, 51 Benton at Church St., Kitchener on Sunday from 6: 30 p.m. - 9: 00 p.m. (Legion service to be held at 6: 45 p.m.). Transfer to Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, 10 Lorraine Ave., Kitchener on Monday, April 4, 2011 for visitation from 10: 00 a.m. until time of service at 11: 00 a.m. Interment in Memory Gardens, Breslau.
