- Kitchener Man Killed When His Auto Hits Tree
When the car in which he was travelling alone went out of control on the Breslau-Maryhill back road shortly after six o'clock last night, Frederick Hofheinz, 40, of 111 Charles St., Kitchener, was instantly killed.
According to Provincial Constable Mitchener, who investigated, the machine, a 1932 model, zig-zagged down the road for some distance and then ran into a small hydro pole. Hofheinz was thrown from the machine and apparently was instantly killed by internal head, neck and arm injuries.
HORN KEPT BLOWING
When the machine. When the machine turned over on the roadside the horn began to blow. This attracted the attention of Herbert Gole, H.R. 1, Breslau, who farms near the accident scene.
Gole investigated and found the body of the victim lying near the machine. Hofheinz was dead when he arrived, police were told.
The car, while badly wrecked, did not show any signs of damaged steering that might have accounted for the loss of control, Constable Mitchener said.
It was decided that an inquest was unnecessary.
