Notes |
- CHAS. H. BOECKNER
The death took place suddenly at Kitchener, on Monday morning, of Chas. H. Boeckner, a well-known resident of Kitchener, at the age of 67 years. He was at his work at the Canadian Consolidated Smart Step Factory, when the call came, death being due to heart failure. Mr. Boeckner was born in New Hamburg in 1854, a son of the late Peter Boeckner. Previous to moving to Kitchener, he carried on a harness business in Newton and Milverton for many years. He resided in Kitchener for the past 15 years. He leaves to mourn his loss a sorrowing wife and one son and daughter, Harry and Annie at home; also two sisters, Mrs. Mary Ritz, of Kitchener, and Mrs. Pressprich, of Detroit. The deceased was a member of Nith Lodge No. 96, I. O. O. F., New Hamburg. The funeral was held on Wednesday afternoon from his late home, 31 Duke street, to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, thence to Mt. Hope Cemetery.
