      IMLAY CITY - Clifford C. Martz, 80, died Friday, June 19, 1987. He was born April 17, 1907, in Kitchener, Ontario. He married Alta F. Stern on Feb. 10, 1934, in Capac.

      He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Imlay City. He worked in electrical and refrigeration until 1959. He then worked for Vlasic Foods until 1974 and later was a part-time custodian for the Imlay City State Bank until 1985.

      He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Marilyn Seidell and Janice VanderPloeg, both of Imlay City and Mary Jo Mulder of Bristol, Conn.; a son, David of Capac; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Louis of Port Richey, Fla.; and a sister, Isabella Reid of Almont.

      Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Paul's Lutheran Church with the Rev. John Schleicher officiating. Burial will be in Imlay Township cemetery.
