  KARCHER, Donald Passed away peacefully at A.R. Goudie Eventide Nursing Home, on Sunday, September 9, 2012 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of 58 years to Florence Karcher (nee Hachborn). Loved father of Don (Faith Ann), Pat Harris (Bryant), Jan Paisley (Dick) and Sue Stankiewicz (Kim). Special uncle to Geoff Karcher (Michelle). Dear brother of Jean Jewitt (Clayt) and brother-in-law of Pat Karcher. Proud grandfather of Janessa Karcher, Amanda and Spencer Harris, Melissa, Ginny and Amy Paisley and Will, Becky, Karen and Lori Stankiewicz. Also fondly remembered by many additional family members. Predeceased by his brothers Leonard and Bruce and grandson Matthew Harris. Donald's family will receive relatives and friends at Henry Walser Funeral Home , 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday from 11: 00 a.m. - 12: 45 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 1: 00 p.m. with Rev. Todd Brown officiating. Following a reception at the funeral home, a private interment will take place in Bloomingdale Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Compassion Canada or the Grand River Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home). The family wish to thank the Dialysis Doctors and Nurses at Grand River Hospital and also the 3rd floor Nurses and Staff of A.R. Goudie for their care and compassion.
