- Mrs. Thomas Robson
The death occurred at Galt Hospital early Thursday morning of Mrs. Thomas Robson, Jedburgh, in her 63rd year, following a stroke which she suffered Wednesday morning. Deceased, whose maiden name was Elizabeth J. McMonagle, was the widow of the late Thomas Robson, who died about 14 years ago. She was born in Brantford, where she attended school. Following their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Robson lived on the farm now owned by James Welsh, west of Ayr. Later they moved into the village and, after a short stay, moved to Galt. They resided in Galt for seven years, returning to Ayr 16 years ago. The late Mrs. Robson was a member of the United Church. She had been ill poor health for several years. Surviving are one son Robert of Ayr and one brother, Marquis, of Hamilton.
The funeral was held on Saturday afternoon, with service at her late residence and interment In. the Ayr Cemetery. Rev. J. W. Carrie was in charge of the service, and the many beautiful floral tributes received testified to the esteem in which the late Mrs. Robson was held.
The pallbearers were. A. L. Easton. George Edgar, John Henderson, William Turnbull and William G. Hall, of Ayr. and Reg. Raynor, Galt. The funeral was largely attended.
