He was an enthusiastic supporter of the Roman Catholic Church and Separate school system tirelessly working to raise money for the new St. Mary's Church and School in Hagersville. He enjoyed his years on the Roman Catholic School Board, some of it as the Chairman. He sat on the Land-Use Planning Committee, a precursor to the current municipal zoning bodies. Among many other volunteer activities he was also well known as a driver for local cancer patients. Visitation for Jerry will be held at the Hyde & Mott Funeral Chapel, 60 Main Street South, Hagersville on Thursday, February 11th from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. with Vigil Prayers at 6: 30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Church on Friday, February 12th at 11: 00 a.m. with interment at St. Anne's Cemetery. If so desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or the West Haldimand General Hospital.
