_______________
Mrs. Levi Snyder
Friends and relatives learned with sincere regret of the passing of Mrs. Levi Snyder at her home in Bridgeport Friday morning in her 78th year. She was born near Kitchener on May 21, 1854. Her maiden name was Hannah Clemens. She was predeceased by her husband in 1925 and also by her six brothers and one sister. She enjoyed the best of health until seized with a stroke several weeks ago. She was a faithful member of Emmanuel Evangelical church, Bridgeport for many years and took a keen interest in church work.
The funeral was held on Sunday, at the residence at two o'clock. followed by services at the Bridgeport Evangelical Church.
The church was crowded to the doors, many people and friends being unable to be accommodated. Rev. W. J. Zimmerman, the pastor preached an impressive sermon taking as text the twenty-third Psalm, "He Leadeth Me", and was assisted in the service by Rev. H. A. Kellerman, pastor of the Waterloo Evangelical Church. Interment was made in the Bloomingdale Mennonite cemetery. The Church choir sang beautiful anthems, "Crossing the Bar." and "Some Day."
The pallbearers were four nephews, Messrs. Alfred and Herbert Snyder and Norman and Mahlon Clemens and Ervin Haas and David Boettger, representing the Evangelical Church.
