  LACKENBAUER, Douglas Roy - Suddenly at his residence in Waterloo on Tuesday, October 6, 2009, at the age of 77. Douglas retired from Uniroyal - Goodrich in 1988 after a lifelong career, where he served as Vice-President Original Equipment Sales. A member of the Royal Canadian Legion - Branch 530 and a former member of the Westmount Golf and Country Club. Cherished by his children, Joy Gronau, Roy and Lisa and her husband Chuck Sparks. Dear brother of June Temple, Owen (Ollie), Bruce (Sandy) and fondly remembered by his friend, Shirley. Predeceased by a daughter, Susan (1971); his parents, Roy and Dorothy Lackenbauer (1995) and a brother-in-law, Chuck Temple (2000). A Celebration of Doug's life will be held at later date and will be announced in The Record. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the Henry Walser Funeral Home , Kitchener 519-749-8467 519-749-8467.
