  SOLOMON: Douglas R. - At K-W. Hospital, on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 1987, following a lengthy illness, Douglas Russel Solomon, age 69 years, of 48 Delisle Ave., Kitchener. Mr. Solomon was employed with Uniroyal Tire Division for 37 years uintil his retirement. Beloved husband of the former Helen Lackenbauer dear father of Dennis and his wife JoAnne of Kitchener and Diane (Mrs. Peter Birkemoe) of Toronto. Lovingly remembered by five grandchildren, Peter, Karen, Eric, Dennis and Sarah. Brother of Marjorie, Shirley (Mrs. Dalton White) and Marceline (Mrs. Robert Shiry), all of Kitchener. Predeceased by his parents; one brother Roland (Shiner) and one sister, Corrine. A memorial mass will be held at Sacred Heart RC Church on Friday at 10 a.m. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario gratefully acknowledged, and may be, made through the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W. Kitchener.
