    • LACKENBAUER, Harold George - With great sadness we announce the passing of Harold Lackenbauer, best friend and husband of Anna (Hartsman). Harold passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2009 at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, at the age of 75. Beloved father of Hal (Gayle Ostrom), Kim Russell, Tracey Nolan (Andrew) and Audra Robinson (Rick). Harold will be missed by his grandchildren, Anthony (Ashley), Samantha, Katrice, Hayden, Ava, Danielle, Emilio, Diego; and great-granddaughter, Savannah. Step-grandfather to Dawn (Mike), Peggy (Mike), Patrick, Josh and Jamie. Step-great- grandfather to Justin and Nicolas. Step-great-greatgrandfather to Jaden. Now there is an angel to watch over his great-grandson who will be born on September 15th. Dear brother of Sister Doreen Lackenbauer SSND and Sister Betty Lackenbauer SSND, Peter (Heike), Yvonne Gutscher (Orville), Jeanette Brenneman (Don), Carol Szozda. Harold will be remembered by his brother-in-law, John Szozda and many nieces and nephews. He will also be dearly missed by his life long friend, Francis Girodat. Predeceased by his parents, Harold and Anna (Straus) Lackenbauer; his sister, Marguerite Szozda; and brother-in-law, Florian Szozda. Harold enjoyed his many years at Round Lake where he retired and entertained his grandchildren. Harold's family received relatives and friends from 7-9 p.m. on Monday and will receive from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday (today) at the Henry Walser Funeral Home , 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467 519-749-8467. Parish prayers 8: 30 p.m. on Tuesday. Prayers will be offered in the funeral home chapel at 10: 15 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 followed by procession to Blessed Sacrament RC Church (305 Laurentian Dr., Kitchener) for Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Father Wayne Lobsinger officiating. Private family interment Woodland Cemetery followed by a reception in the church hall. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Parkinson Society or Grand River Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
