- Daniel B. Snyder, "was born February 8th, 1825. On October 24th, 1848, he was married to Elizabeth Bechtel (No. 663). Soon after his married he moved on the east part of his father's large estate, where he resided until the death of his wife which took place January 11th, 1891, then he moved to Berlin where he now resides and takes things easy and lives in comfort. "

DEATH OF DANIEL SNYDER. Another Old Settler Gone
Mr. Daniel Snyder, one of the early settlers of Waterloo county, died on Sunday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. James Goudie, Waterloo Township, aged 76 years. Deceased had He been ailing for a year or more. was a grandson of the late Daniel Schneider, who came from Pennsylvania to Canada in 1797, and who lived on the farm two miles south of Berlin, on the farm lately owned by Eph. B. Shantz. His father was David Snyder, who owned a large farm at Freeport.
Soon after The late Daniel B. was born Feb. 8, 1825, and was married in 1848 to Elizabeth Bechtel. his marriage he moved on the east side of his father's large estate, where he resided till the death of his wife1891. Since then, and up till about a year ago he made his home with his daughters, Leah and Maria, on Eby st. His family is as follows: Ephriam A., Sulby County, Dakota; Maria and Leah, Berlin; Rev. Owen Snider, Michigan; and Mrs. Jas. Gowdie.
The funeral will take place on Wednesday to the Blair cemetery.
