  Levi Brown ST. THOMAS, May 29. - Levi Brown, an employe eof the city gas department for a number of years, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs Dora Brown, 2 Balfour street, in his 89th year. He was born in Chatham and farmed near Chatham till he came to this city 38 years ago. In Kent County he was one of the first in the threshing industry, starting with the horse-power machinery. Surviving are one son. Harry. 57 Balaclava street; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. William Brown, 2 Balfour street; four grandchildren and 11 great-grand- children, His wife predeceased him in 1929. The funeral will be held from the Sifton funeral home on Sunday, at 1 p.m. to Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim. Rev. L. W. Reid, of St. Andrew's United Church, will have charge.
