  Burgetz, Gordon W. - At St. Mary's Hospital, on Thursday, Sept. 8, 1988, following a brief illness, Gordon Burgetz, of King Street East, Kitchener, and formerly of Stratford, age 73 years. Gord previously owned and operated Burgetz Grocery in Stratford for 21 years, latterly he worked with Thomson Greengrocers, also in Stratford before his retirement. He was a member of Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church. Beloved husband of Luella (Kropf) and loving father of Bruce and his wife Emily of Toronto; dear brother of Irene Everett and Alta Burgetz, both of Cambridge (G), Violet Stumpf, Edna Burgetz, Lloyd and Roy Burgetz, all of Kitchener. Also sadly missed by his grandchildren, Stephanie, Ingrid and Kristen and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; two sisters, Laura Prickett and Lillian Johnson and two brothers, John and Harry. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, today (Friday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At noon Saturday, transfer will be made to Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church, for funeral services at 2 p.m. Internment Woodland cemetery.
