    • JACOB SHELLEY

      The death of Jacob Shelley, 86. occurred last night at the home of his nephew, Caleb Shelley, 64 Schneider avenue, after a month's illness.

      Deceased was born in Wurtemberg, Germany, on Jan. 13, 1851, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ludwig Shelley. He came to Canada with the family at the age of two years. He was a member of Sterling Ave Mennonite church.

      He was predeceased by three wives, the last of whom passed away on July 3, 1934 He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Noah Break of Woodlake, Cal, Mrs. Lucinda Fitton, Kitchener, Mrs. Joanna Shelley, New York. There are two, grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. One brother, Daniel Shelley of Troy, Ont, also survives. One son predeceased him in infancy.

      The funeral will be held at three o'clock Saturday from Sterling Ave, Mennonite church to the First Mennonite Cemetery, with Rev. U K. Weber, pastor of the church, officiating. The remains will be resting at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home until the funeral.
