  MacCANDLESS, Donald Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at Trinity Village Care Centre, Kitchener. Don, at the age of 79 years, was formerly of Elmira. Husband of the late Donna (Baetz) MacCandless. Father of Dori and Paul Wey of Kitchener, Doneen Blum of Goderich, and the late Dennis MacCandless. Grandfather of Shawn (Candice) Diebold of Kitchener, Justin Diebold of Wasaga Beach, Lened Bonilla of Goderich, Donnalee (Chris) Moore of Goderich, Kayleigh Bonilla of Sarnia and great-grandfather of Tristan Diebold of Hanover, Kai-Ya Diebold of Kitchener, Knox Diebold of Kitchener and Emmalee Moore of Goderich. Brother of Elgin (Grace) MacCandless of Elmira, Mary Hilker of Waterloo, Cora (Mike) Geffros of Port Huron, MI, and Gerald (Audrey) MacCandless of Elmira. Predeceased by his parents, William and Edna MacCandless, brother Harold and sister Marjorie. At Don's request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home Chapel, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
