- ADOLF TUCHLINSKY
As was announced yesterday the death of one of Berlin's oldest residents, Mr. Adolf Tuchlinsky, took place at his residence, 67 John Street, on Thursday morning at 5: 30 o'clock. He has been in failing health for some time and his end was peaceful and not unexpected. The deceased was in his 72nd year and came from West Prussia, Germany, 45 years ago and has lived in Berlin ever since. He worked for the Simpson Furniture Company for about 40 years and has lived retired for the last four years. He was of a quiet and unassuming disposition and was held in high esteem by a wide circle of friends. His wife died four years ago and is survived by a family of five children, Stephen, of this city, Gustave, William and Marie Schlada, of Delevan, Wis., and Mrs. Prochon, of Detroit. There are seven grandchildren, one brother, Gustave, of Berlin, and three sisters, Mrs. Mueller, Mrs. John Holtze and Mrs. Wm. Steiler, of this city. The deceased was a veteran of the Prussian war of 1866. The funeral service will be held at the home on Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock, and from thence to the East End Cemetery for interment.
