    • Mrs. Gordon Hughson Passes

      A resident of Drumbo for many years, Mrs. Gordon Hughson, 75, passed away on Friday in K-W Hospital where she had been confined for the past six years.

      The former Mary Schedewitz, she was born in Peel Township, a daughter of the late Simon Schedewitz and Elizabeth Zinkann. She came to Ayr as a young woman to accept employment as a cook at the Queens Hotel. Following her marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Hughson lived here for many years before moving to Drumbo some 20 years ago.

      Besides her husband, she is survived by a brother, Charles, and a sister, Mrs. Emily Warner, both of Kitchener.


      The Funeral

      Funeral service was conducted on Monday at the Ratz Bechtel Funeral Home, Kitchener, by Rev. L. E. Wentzlaff of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Kitchener. Interment was made in Union Cemetery, Elmira.
