      At LaMesa, Calif., Sunday, December 31, 1978, Maj. Louis Taylor, beloved husband of the late Mary Wilfong, in his 89th year. Survived by a brother, Walter of Uplands, Calif., a niece, Mrs. Ralph Hodd of Kitchener, and a nephew, Louis Taylor of Moro Bay, Calif. Mr. Taylor was born in Cambridge (P) and moved to California in 1935. First president of Preston Canadian Legion, Branch 126; served in the First World War with the HLI and the Black Watch regiments and was a member of Preston Masonic Lodge. Resting at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge (P), from Thursday afternoon, for funeral services, Friday, at 2 p.m. Interment in Preston cemetery.
