  • Notes 
    • A native of Puslinch, suddenly, on Tuesday morning, [June 4, 1946], in the Galt General Hospital, in his 61st year. Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Aikens of Puslinch. For the last forty years, he had been living in Detroit. He was a butcher by vocation. He was visiting his sister, Mrs. A. Smith in Galt, when he became ill suddenly and was rushed to the hospital. Surviving are his wife and one daughter, Eunice; two brothers, Thomas and James Aikens of Puslinch; and one sister, Mrs. A. Smith of Galt. Funeral on Thurs. , June 6th at 3 in Hespeler from the Stager & Co. Funeral Home on Galt St, with interment in Hespeler Cemetery. Rev. William Weir, pastor of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church officiated. Pallbearers: William Ross, John Leith, Wilson Aikens, Robert Aikens, Thomas Gilchrist and Thomas Ling.
