    • ALEXANDER, Samuel Gibson - At the Freeport Hospital, on Friday evening, March 29, 1974, Samuel G. Alexander, of 87 Cooper Street, in his 91st year, beloved husband of Sarah MacKenzie Alexander and dear father of James, Roderick, John M., all of Hespeler, Hugh of Barrie, Mrs. Reg. (Sarah Winfield) of Meaford, Mrs. Madge Orton of Preston and Mrs. Margaret Renton of Owen Sound; also survived by 25 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; predeceased by a son, Ward, in World War II. Born in Stranraer, Scotland, Mr. Alexander came to Canada in 1927 where he farmed in Puslinch Township for many years; a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, he was also a great lawn bowling enthusiast in his later years, being a member of the Preston Lawn Bowling Club.

      Mr. Alexander is resting at the Nelson Funeral Home, 23 Galt Street, Hespeler-Cambridge, from Sunday noon. Funeral service on Monday, April 1, at 2 p.m. with interment in New Hope cemetery.
