- Amos Baker
Amos Baker, 75, of 41 Lancaster St. East, died last night in London after a lengthy illness. Born Feb. 2, 1878 at Burgoyne, Ont., he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Baker. He was a member of Bethany United Missionary Church. He was employed by the Krug Furniture Company, Ltd., for over 20 years. Surviving besides his wife, the former Emma Break, are two daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Edna) Dedels of Bloomingdale and Mrs. Lloyd (Florence) Schweitzer of Kitchener; five brothers, Percy and William of Allenford, Aaron of Oberon, Man.; Samuel of Longlake, Man. and Andrew of Fergus; two sisters, Mrs. Joel Eby of Southampton and Mrs. William Ringle of Walkerton. Five grandchildren also survive. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Abigail Hallman Aug. 22, 1946. The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home until noon Friday when removal will be made to Bethany United Missionary Church for the funeral at 2:30 p.m. Burial will take place at Woodland Cemetery. Rev. H.S. Hallman, pastor of the church, will officiate.
