Notes - A-2-144 George Mercer Letters of Administration of the estate of George Mercer of the Town of Galt, Cordwainer, who died on or about the fourth day of April 1862 at the Town of Galt, intestate, and had at the time of his death a fixed place of abode at the Town of Galt, were granted…to Andrew Malcom of the town of Galt, Carpenter, a creditor of the said intestate, he having been first sworn faithfully to administer the same by paying just debts and distributing the residue (if any) of personal estate and effects, according to law, and to inhibit a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the said personal estate and effects, rights and credits and to render a just and true account thereof whenever required by law. Isabella Mercer the widow of the said deceased, James Mercer, his only son of age, and Alexander Mercer his brother, the only next of kin, having or pretending interest in the personal estate and effects of the said deceased resident in Upper Canada
