      ASSAULT.

      Ann Caverly got drunk at the canning factory, and, it is said, knife in hand chased a girl around the premises, and forced her to jump out of the window to save her life. The Caverly woman was put out by Picton Brown, for which she charged him with assault. The magistrate dismissed the case, complainant to pay the $2 costs.
