Shantz, Mrs. Ephraim
The former Edna Weber, of 145 Peel St., New Hamburg, passed away Sunday Sept. 29 at 315 Dale Cres., Waterloo, age 85. She was born June 9, 1889 in Waterloo, lived in this area since 1916, she was a daughter of the late Menno S. Weber and Sarah Knipe; a member of Zion United Church, New Hamburg, also a Sunday school teacher, member of the UCW of the church, a life member and a charter member of New Hamburg Women's Institute. Predeceased by her husband Ephraim; surviving one brother, Walter E. Weber of Kitchener; predeceased by four brothers and four sisters. Funeral service was held Tuesday at Zion United Church with burial in Riverside cemetery. The Bruce J. Omand Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
